Action / Use
ACTION: Fungicide.
USE: Active against Oomycete fungi, Plasmopara on vines, and Phytophthora on potatoes and tomatoes. Stature* DM for use on greenhouse and nursery grown ornamentals. Zampro* for cucumbers, onions, potatoes, tomatoes.
FORMULATIONS: Dispersible concentrate, suspension concentrate, wettable powder.
PREMIX PARTNERS: Ametoctradin; Chlorothalonil; Folpet; Mancozeb; Prochloraz; Triphenyltin Hydroxide.

Identification

COMMON NAME: Dimethomorph (BSI, ISO-E); Diméthomorphe (ISO-F).

Chemistry

COMPOSITION: (E,Z)-4-[3-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl) acryloyl]-morpholine (1).
PROPERTIES: Colorless to grey crystalline powder. Melting point 125-149℃. Vapor pressure 9.7 x 10-7 pascals at 25℃ (E isomer). 1.0 x 10-6 pascals at 25℃ (Z isomer).

Environmental Guidelines

HAZARDS: Fish: Low toxicity. Bee: Nontoxic.
WATER SOLUBILITY: 18 mg/l at 20℃ (pH 7).

Safety Guidelines

TOXICITY: Tech (Rat): Oral LD50 3900 mg/kg. Dermal LD50 >2000 mg/kg.
HANDLING/STORAGE CAUTIONS: Avoid raising a dust cloud. Fine dust clouds may be explosive mixtures with air. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, nose, and mouth. Wash all exposed skin before eating, drinking, smoking, or using the toilet. Store in secure, well ventilated building away from food and feed and out of reach of children.
