Action / Use
ACTION: Insecticide.
USE: Decis*: cotton, market garden crops, fruit crops, field crops, grapevines, etc. for Coleoptera, Homoptera, Lepidoptera; may be used alone, except against mites. Shooter*: field crops, pome fruit, nuts, vegetables.
FORMULATIONS: Emusifiable concentrate, flowable, thermal fogging concentrate, ULV, wettable powder.
PREMIX PARTNERS: Bioallethrin; S-Bioallethrin; Chlorpyrifos; Chlorpyrifos-methyl; Dimethoate; Endosulfan; Piperonyl Butoxide; Plant Oils; Triazophos.

Identification

COMMON NAME: Deltamethrin (BSI, ISO-E); Deltam hrine (ISO-F); Decamethrin (Rejected proposal).

Chemistry

COMPOSITION: (S)-a-cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl (1R,3R)-3-(2,2-dibromovinyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylate.
PROPERTIES: Crystalline, odorless powder, almost white. Molecular weight: 505.2. Melting point 98-101℃. Stability very good; no breakdown after 6 months at 40℃. Soluble in acetone, ethanol, dioxan, and most aromatic solvent.

TOXICITY: Decis* 1.5EC: (Rat): Oral LD50 42.9 mg/kg; Dermal LD50 >2000 mg/kg; Inhalation (4 h) LC50 0.57 mg/l. Decis* 0.2EC: (Rat): Oral LD50 431 mg/kg; Inhalation (4 h) LC50 2.69 mg/l.
HANDLING/STORAGE CAUTIONS: Avoid contact with mouth, eyes, and skin especially with undiluted EC. Store in original container away from food and feed.
