USE: Treflan* for use on alfalfa (established), almond, apricot, asparagus, barley, beans, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cantaloupe, carrot, cauliflower, celery, collard, corn, cotton, cucumber, grain sorghum, grapefruit, grapevines, hops, kale, lemon, mung bean, mustard, nectarine, okra, orange, peach, peanuts (Spanish), peas, pecan, pepper, plum, potato, prune, safflower, southern pea, soybean, sugar beet, sugarcane, sunflower, tangelo, tangerine, tomato, turnip green, walnut, watermelon, wheat. Tri-Scept* for use on soybeans only in specified states. Showcase* for use on field and container grown ornamentals, nonbearing fruit and nut trees, noncropland.
FORMULATIONS: Emulsifiable concentrate, granular, liquid, wettable powder.

COMMON NAME: Trifluralin (ANSI, BSI, ISO-E, WSSA); Trifluraline (ISO-F).

COMPOSITION: a,a,a-Trifluoro-2,6-dinitro-N,N-dipropyl-p-toluidine(1).
CLASS: Dinitroaniline.
PROPERTIES: Yellow-orange crystals. Melting point 48.5-49℃. Solubility: Digermin* >140℃. Readily soluble in organic solvents: acetone, xylene, aromatic naphthas.

HAZARDS: Fish: Toxic. Bee, Earthworm: Nontoxic.
WATER SOLUBILITY: Practically insoluble, <1 ppm at 27℃.

TOXICITY: (Rat): Oral LD50 >5000 mg/kg; Tretox 480*: 3700 mg/kg.
HANDLING/STORAGE: Causes eye irritation. Do not get in eyes. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. May cause skin sensitization reactions in certain individuals. Avoid freezing. Store Treflan* E.C. above 40癋. Do not store near heat or open flame. Store in original container only. Treflan* M.T.F. may be stored in unheated facilities.
