Action / Use
ACTION: Fungicide; Insecticide.
USE: Fuji-One* for rice blast. Submerged, foliar, or nursery box applications to suppress rice planthoppers.
FORMULATIONS: Emulsifiable concentrate, granule, wettable powder, ULV, LV.
PREMIX PARTNERS: Carbendazim; Iprobenfos; Propiconazole; Tricyclazole.

Identification

COMMON NAME: Isoprothiolane (ISO, BSI, JMAF).

Chemistry

COMPOSITION: Di-isopropyl 1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidenemalonate.
PROPERTIES: Pure colorless crystal. Yellow solid. Melting point 54.0-54.5℃ (pure), 50-51℃. Boiling point 167-169℃/0.5 mm Hg. Vapor pressure 1.4 x 10-4 mm Hg/25℃. Solubility in organic solvents at 25℃: methanol 150 g/100 g; dimethyl sulfoxide 230 g/100 g; acetone 400 g/100 g; chloroform 230 g/100 g; benzene 300 g/100 g; xylene 230 g/100 g; n-hexane 4 g/100 g.

WATER SOLUBILITY: 48 ppm at 20℃.

Safety Guidelines

TOXICITY: (Rat): Oral LD50 1190 mg/kg. Dermal LD50 >10,250 mg/kg.
HANDLING/STORAGE CAUTIONS: Avoid skin, eye contact and inhalation. Store in cool place.
